Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital FoundationSNMH Foundation’s mission is "To nurture the spirit of generosity and volunteerism of the community, we focus our philanthropic efforts in fostering quality healthcare of the highest standards for Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital." Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH) opened in December 1958 as a result of the shared values of our local physicians, community and mining industry leaders. It was their vision of quality healthcare for the community, volunteer time and donated dollars that built Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. Today, these same shared values continue to guide SNMH as we plan for a future that provides a new dimension of patient care focused on helping residents live the happiest, healthiest lives possible. Many of the same volunteers who raised money to build the hospital formed the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation in 1984. Their spirit prevails today throughout the Foundation — including our donors, volunteers and staff. For more information or to contact the Foundation directly call 530-477-9700.
